China Cabinet Make Over

I had the pleasure of doing a Makeover for this beauty! It is going in a SALON!, So I knew I had to make her look BEAUTIFUL! She was a Blond, but I decided she needed to be dyed (painted) black! After she was painted, Then I figured she needed some curls! I used this awesome paper (disposable table runner) from Cake Vintage Click on the link to see more! http://www.cakevintage.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=KP401  I have used this before, but I used decoupage. This time I used the 3M 77 spray! I LOVED IT! **TIP** Before you start painting something that you want to add paper or fabric to, take the back off, it is way easier to paint it because you can work on both sides, and you wont get paint on the paper/fabric. It is also easier to put the paper/fabric on! Once you finish painting the piece, place the newly covered back panel back on!  She is ready for her debut at the salon Bella Couture in Melissa TX!!

Wall Of Old Light Fixtures!!

Ever wonder what to do with old light fixtures? Well....Today I went to visit one of my friends who lives in a beautiful old house. It was built in 1910. My favorite part was her work room!! It is super cute! I just had to share this wall of light fixtures!!! She attached them to the wall with a string going through the hole in the middle of the fixtures, and then hung from the nail! GREAT IDEA KAY!!!

Keep your mind out of the "GUTTER!!

This was a FUN PROJECT!!  I tried to keep my mind out of the "GUTTER" but I just couldn't!! We have made several "Farm Tables" out of 100 year old reclaimed wood! I had a Face Book friend ask to make a 12' long farm table with a "gutter" in the middle, so she can put ice in it for dinner parties etc... We built the base out of Ceder post, then added a "gutter". Once the base and gutter was in place, we added the 100 year old "CHIPPY" wood for the top!! The legs go on last, we used the same cedar post for the legs!

Stop Slammin' that door!

AHHH Childhood memories! "get in or out"..."Stop Slammin' that door" "Your lettin' in flies" "Were you born in a barn"? The "Dude" just installed an old squeaky screen door in my formal dining room!! LOVE IT!! I just stand there opening & closing it! On the other side of the door directly across the hall, is my half bath, and to the right is a door that leads to the garage!! The Buffet Table was made out of 100 year old wood, from an old house we got to strip! The legs are from the window frames!! The first picture is a little blurry...sorry!
