I am so excited! I received an e-mail today that my company was ranked top 4 in Furniture restoration in our area! I copied the article below! They even gave me a "badge" if you click on the "thumbtack" badge you will go to the website!

Farm House Table FINISHED

Farm House Table

This table is a table I am working on for a client! I used an old table, took the top off, however, I kept the skirting I used 2 X 12's to create a longer table. I stained the new top red mahogany, and painted the old legs white, and distressed them. The set comes with cane back chairs, I will post pictures of the completed project in a few days!! I painted the chairs white, distressed them, and I am using linen to recover the seats!

I had a pretty productive day today! First I took my drawers off outside! Now, do I have your attention?? Then I sanded them down and stained them. It started getting cloudy outside but I felt like I had time to get the cabinet sanded and stained too! I FINISHED just in time to get it in the house and about 30 minutes later, the heavens opened and started pouring down rain!!!  This piece belonged to one of my client's dad. He passed away in 2010, and his girls shared his antique pieces! I was honored that they trusted me with such treasures! The first set of pictures below is of the chest of drawers I finished today. The next set of pictures is of the one I redone for her sister!
I used 80 grit sand paper and my trusty sander to get all of the original stain off. I re stained it DARK WALNUT! I usually PAINT all of my pieces, but since I was commissioned to do this, I had to do what the customer wanted. I think it looks great!!  (Sorry the pictures look grainy) I promise, I will get a new camera soon!

WEEE DOGGIES....I had a great weekend of PICKIN'!! I crossed over 2 state lines and picked in 3 different states in 2 days!! Some people see junk. I see....Entry tables, Jewelry Organizers, Light pendants, Clothes baskets, Art, Home Decor...Tell me, WHAT DO YOU SEE???

Victorian era BED MAKE OVER!

I went PICKIN' last Thursday and scored lots of great treasures. This is by far my favorite treasure! It is a Victorian Era Bed! I painted it a soft gray, but only 1 coat of paint, to give it a "worn look".
